Sarah is a graduate of the Iowa School for the Deaf.   As a Deaf Meskwaki woman from Tama, Iowa, she is the founder of Gathering of Deafatives, and considers herself fortunate to have a family who learned sign language while also teaching her the Meskwaki language.
